Expanding a Local PV
If your local PV does not fit in the available space, you can expand its capacity. This section describes how to expand the capacity of a local PV through the console.
Prerequisites
You have created a cluster and installed the CCE Container Storage (Everest) add-on in the cluster.
Procedure
- Log in to the CCE console and click the cluster name to access the cluster console.
- Choose Storage in the navigation pane and click the PersistentVolumeClaims (PVCs) tab. Click More in the Operation column of the target PVC and select Scale-out.
- Enter the capacity to be added and click OK.
- Disk sizes can only be increased, not decreased.
- Before expanding the capacity of a local PV, check the available capacity of the storage pool for the node where the PVC is located. If the expanded capacity of the local PV is less than or equal to the available capacity of the storage pool, directly adjust the PVC capacity. Otherwise, expand the storage pool and then change the capacity of the PVC.
